Trails are the official record of where you are allowed to ride provided by the USFS, BLM, State agency or private park. Trail records contain the original geometry and information provided by the agency that manages the land where the trail is.
Tracks are recorded by customers like yourself. Tracks that you record are labeled as "Personal tracks" and are shown on the map as purple dashed lines. Tracks that are recorded and published by other customers are called "community tracks" and are shown on the map as orange dashed lines.
Custom routes are drawn by you on yamahaadventurepro.com. Use the custom route builder to click along the map, laying out the path that you want to take on your next journey. Your custom route is then synced to your Plans folder on your GPS over Wi-Fi.
Courses are used in timing mode to distinguish the official track that you will use to record timed sessions. In Timing Mode you will create or select an existing course before starting new sessions.
Sessions are timed laps or runs on your courses. Sessions record and capture vehicle performance data when connected to the Vehicle data harness. You can then view your timed sessions and vehicle performance statistics.
